Making Easy Work of User Offboarding

Classic Cinemas and FlashPanel

Classic Cinemas, one of Illinois’ oldest family run theater companies, was looking to make a drastic change in their IT strategy. With the help of Tristan Dobbs, the theater’s technical services manager, Classic Cinemas retired their 8 year old Exchange Server and made the move to Google Apps.

Initially, Mr. Dobbs installed FlashPanel to manage the theater’s 4,000 plus shared contacts, but quickly began using a wide range of functionality. For Mr. Dobbs, FlashPanel’s user deprovisioning workflow has greatly simplified the user offboarding process and features like email monitoring and back-end inbox delegation, which are not offered in the Google Apps Control Panel, have been welcome additions.
